I messed up our blog theme schedule because I loved these alphabet dies so much that I knew I needed to make something with them. It didn’t fit the plan, but my mom was flexible and so I got to make these super pretty eclipse wall hangings!

This paper is super gorgeous. The dark sunset one reminded me of Hawai’i. My husband and I got married on Maui and recently celebrated our second anniversary, so I wanted to make one with our initials for him. But I also saw the pink and purple sky and I love those colors so much, so I made both.
To make these, you need to carefully lie the dies out exactly where you want them and make sure you don’t throw away any of the pieces, not even the inside of the letters! I glued the background piece onto another piece of cardstock to help support it. Then I laid the letters that have inside parts (so the O and B and &) back down in the place they were cut out so that I could glue the inside pieces in the correct spots. I made sure not to get the glue on the letters, though! I cut out a second set of the letters on cardstock and glued them behind the letters to give them more support and dimension, and then I used two layers of dimensionals to pop up the letters.

Tip: I used washi tape to help the dies stay exactly where I wanted them so they wouldn’t move or shift at all.
Also, I don’t know if you can tell, but I used black dimensionals on the M & B one. I sometimes forget I even have black dimensionals, but they were crucial in this project! Luckily the letters are wide enough to fit normal sized dimensionals behind them, but the white dimensionals would’ve been really obvious on top of the black cardstock.

Make sure you check out what my mom made! She used the other part of the bundle to make something amazing!
I hope you get these and play around with them. They are very big letters and not many of them fit on a normal card, but I think there are so many great uses for them and they’re very striking.
Happy crafting!
