DIY Calendar Blog Hop – May 2025

Happy May!

May is such a great time of the Stampin’ year because there are so many new products releasing. I wanted to use my new favorite stamp set as soon as I could because it’s too cute! And the color scheme reminds me of Cinco de Mayo–so it’s on theme.

The bird stamp is from the upcoming Feathered Fun stamp set, available for purchase on May 6. It’s adorable and I know it’s a set my husband will insist I keep using forever.

I colored this like a love bird, though I’m sure there are many parrots and parakeets that would also be inspiring. I used Stampin’ Blends in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Shy Shamrock, and Shaded Spruce.

The cardstock mat for this calendar is 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ and the calendar itself is 3 1/8″ x 1 3/4″. A bit taller this month because of the five weeks.

This calendar template was made by Anne Matasci. She’s been putting out designs for this calendar for years, she has such great ideas. If you’d like to see her design for this month, along with Cheryl Hamilton’s and Sharon Hashimoto Burkert’s, click on the image below. If you’re interested in buying the template, message Anne here.

Happy early Cinco de Mayo, and happy crafting!

  1. I love this! When I saw the stamp set I didn’t care for the images of the birds, but you made it look great!
