ISS Blog Hop – Techniques

I wasn’t sure if this card was going to turn out well, but I’m super pleased with it. It’s not what I would normally try to make, but I think it’s so fun. It’s abstract and colorful and fairly versatile.

The other great thing about this design is that it’s so easy to make a lot of cards! The key to the swish is to cut out six total circles. Two large ones of colors A and C, two medium ones of color B, and then two small ones of colors A and C. Cut those circles in half and voila! You have what you need for two swooshes.

I couldn’t decide what color to use as the background, so I decided to use both. Which do you like better?

Also, isn’t the sentiment great? It’s one of Stampin’ Up’s new online exclusives that are available to purchase March 5! There are a bunch of neat sentiments in this stamp set, including a Happy Anniversary one, which I feel is rare. It’s the Sweetly Scripted Cling Stamp Set (#163600). Check it out and all the new online exclusives on Tuesday March 5.

Next, please check out a card made by Mary Lou Green! She always has such cool designs and I’m excited to see what she came up with. She made a card using the Delft Tile Technique.

Happy crafting!

  1. Great card Malia. Thanks for letting us know how many circles and sizes to cut out of each color. I think I like the way the circles flow on the top card, and the sentiment is from a stamp set on my wish list.
