ISS Blog Hop – Valentine’s Day

I’ve wanted to figure out a way to feature this bee and this is what I came up with! It’s a fairly easy card, once you figure out how to cut all the papers so the slanted edge aligns on all of them.

Yellow is my favorite color and I love seeing it so prominently feautured. The bee is also so adorable and bee puns are perfect for Valentine’s Day, what with “bee mine” and “love you, honey”.

Full disclosure, I didn’t have any Sweet Sorbet cardstock, so I used Real Red. It’s not the same color as the DSP, but I think it coordinates well enough.

This was a really fun card to make and I know I’ll be using the layout again.

Next, please check out a card made by Mary Lou Green! It’s a really sweet card and I would never have thought to use the colors she picks for Valentine’s Day. It works really well and is a fun alternative to just reds and pinks.
