Have you ever seen a card design that was pretty unpractical but so cool you just had to make it? Those are the best kinds of fun folds.
This card is too big for a normal envelope. It measures at 6″ x 8″ when closed. It’s kind of flimsy, and can be difficult to pick it up without it opening and ruining the effect, but it’s still so dang cool.
This is made from a 6″ x 12″ piece of patterned paper, cut and scored at the right places to make it open just so. I really like how the inside is one big field of flowers when you open it up .

Tip: I used cardstock to reinforce the back of the card and the back of the handles that you pull out, but it would probably be sturdier to make the base from cardstock.
If you want to make this card, check out this video! It’s really helpful and goes through all the measurements step by step.

Also, do yourself a favor and go buy some blender pens! I colored the big leaves by dipping one on an ink pad, dabbing it off a bit, and coloring starting at the bottom. I think they turned out really nice! A great way to match my colors without them all having to be dark.
Make sure you check out what my mom made! She loves fun folds even more than I do and I know she made something really impressive.
Happy crafting!

Ok. That is just such a beautiful card!!! Totally worth making your own envelope, or just handing it to someone. I’m going to make one after watching the video! Thanks for the new fun fold idea!
