Sometimes you really need a simple card design to make a bunch of birthday cards.
This is a design that I’ve seen called the “Peek-A-Boo Card.” It is super simple — just fold the corners of patterned paper up and stamp something in the center! It’s quick, easy, and striking.
Tip: I measured the same distance in both directions from whatever corner I wanted to fold up, marked just inside the distance, and then lightly scored between the marks. If you score with the paper trimmer, you want to make sure you do it gently and don’t treat it like cardstock. (I think it was 1″ for this card, but you’ll need to change it up depending on what you want to put in the center.)

I really love this paper. It’s bright and colorful and it also features colors that I haven’t really seen together. In particular, I love the Blueberry Bushel and Melon Mambo combo.
I used the standard 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base, folded at 4 1/4″. The white piece is 5 1/4″ x 4″ and the patterned paper was 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″.
Do you have any go-to card layouts? I’d love more ideas for simple cards.
Happy spring and happy crafting!
