ISS Blog Hop – Embossing Folders

Embossing folders are one of my absolute favorite tools. They are super easy to use and also create the best background pieces. They are pretty and add something to the card without being distracting. I was very excited to play with them this month and I hope you like what I came up with!

This stamp set is one of my favorites. (As you may know) my husband loves birds, and so I tend to buy the bird stamps. I think this set will be in my collection for a long time. The bird has such a fun attitude and I love the fries that go with it. It’s available as part of Sale-a-Bration this year! So if you buy enough product, you can get this for free, but only until the end of February.

I haven’t made a fun fold in awhile and I wanted to challenge myself. This one turned out to be easy! The hardest thing was getting the card to close properly without overlapping or leaving a gap, but you should really try making one of these if you haven’t yet. I used these instructions.

I also wanted to include a spot where someone could write on the card, so I put this white piece on the back. I suppose you might have to tell the person you’re giving the card to to turn it over, but that way you don’t have to fit a message around the birds.

Make sure you check out what Mary and my mom made! I can’t wait to see what they did with embossing folders this month.

Happy crafting!
